A Cinnabar Lacquered Wood Tray of Qing Dynasty清 剔紅山水盤






Description:
A cinnabar lacquered dish was preserved finely in good condition.
In rectangular shape yet by intriguingly curved sides, the dish was concaved inside and was with grandeur design of beautiful scenery in the center.
On the border, There was decoration of vibrant flowers, fruits, branches and leaves around.
Supported by Ru-Yi shaped feet, the dish was painted underside with black lacquer.
By original condition, there’re some fret found on the ridges of the motifs.
Minute crackles were observed in some portion too.
A similar piece was in the auction of Nagel, Asiatische Kunst, 17. 05. 2006

Date: Qing Dynasty,18th/19th century.
